Sucrose Palmitate
Science & Benefits
Sucrose Palmitate is a mild, non-ionic emulsifier that combines the hydrating power of sugar with the emolliency of palmitic acid. It is primarily used to create ultra-gentle 'milk' textures in cleansers and lotions. Its large molecular structure ensures it stays on the skin's surface to form a breathable moisture film, rather than penetrating and clogging the pore (rating 0). It is exceptionally well-tolerated by sensitive, acne-prone skin, providing a soft skin feel without the 'greasiness' associated with traditional palm derivatives.
