Sclerocarya Birrea Seed Oil
Science & Benefits
Marula Oil is a rich, highly occlusive oil containing a high concentration of Oleic Acid (approx. 70-78%). This fatty acid profile makes it an exceptional emollient for extremely dry or mature skin, providing a powerful moisture seal. However, for acne-prone individuals, a comedogenic rating of 3 indicates a moderate risk of follicular congestion. It should be used with caution by those with very oily skin. For 'dry-acne' types, it offers significant antioxidant protection and deep conditioning, but it is not a 'universal' oil for all breakout-prone users.
