PEG-75 Lanolin
Science & Benefits
PEG-75 Lanolin is a water-soluble derivative of pure Lanolin. While pure lanolin is a known high-risk comedogen (rating 4), the ethoxylation process (adding PEG-75) completely transforms its physical and chemical properties. This process makes the molecule significantly larger and water-loving, preventing it from lodging in the hair follicle while retaining its legendary ability to hold water in the skin. It provides the barrier-softening benefits of lanolin without the clogging risk. This is an 'intellectual' choice for acne-prone skin that is severely dry, as it offers the intensive conditioning of an animal-derived lipid with a safe, zero-comedogenic profile.
