Science & Benefits
Citric Acid is a tricarboxylic acid derived from citrus fruits. While primarily used at low concentrations as a pH buffer, in higher concentrations it acts as an astringent humectant that helps dissolve the 'glue' between dead skin cells. It is entirely non-comedogenic. For acne-prone skin, it provides a 'brightening' hydration, helping to fade the appearance of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) by promoting faster cell turnover on the skin's surface.
